Introduction

Coronary artery surgery is a very successful treatment for angina and has been shown to increase life expectancy in some groups of patients. It is recommended for many patients with narrowings of the coronary arteries who have persisting angina despite medical treatment and also for some patients who have little in the way of symptoms, but have sinister narrowing in their coronary arteries. |
